I am a self-taught artist born and mostly bred in Forest Gate, East London.

I am always asked ‘why do I call myself old?

Simple really!

Old age is a gift many have not lived to receive. A stamp achieved in my passport of life. Age is something to be celebrated, and trust me, I am celebrating. I am aging like a vintage bottle of fine wine!

My preferred medium is mixed media, mainly acrylic, Ankara cloth, sticks, feathers and basically anything I can recycle. I love creating vibrant, African village scenes, especially when I can stick something to the canvas!

Headwraps are also a passion of mine and I create 3D side profiles of women wearing wraps – most are modelled by my wonderful friends and family.

I started painting few years ago in my early 50’s after attending a ‘sip and paint’ ( a long story for another time!) and haven’t stopped since, an artist was born!
